Homeopathy - FAQ

How Many Appointments Will I Need?

That really depends on the individual. Usually I have seen improvement within 3 treatments, but if your problem is very chronic and longstanding then it can take longer. I have got to the point with my own family that we now see our Homeopath about once per year for an M.O.T.

Is Homeopathy Safe?

Yes. You could take a whole bottle of our remedies, and no side effects would occur. Obviously, some people will experience a healing crisis, or old symptoms might come back, but this is just a part of the cleansing healing process.

Will It Affect My Prescribed Medication?

Homeopathy can work quite happily alongside conventional medication, and at no time will I ask you to come off of your drugs. If at some point you want to decrease your medication, it will be something you then need to discuss with your GP.

How Long Will The Remedy Take To Work?

Because of your individuality, your reaction to the remedy will be different in everyone. In some cases it can be instant, but it usually takes a little longer to see changes, which is why we leave 4 weeks between appointments.

How Many Remedies Will I Take?

In some cases only one, and in others you will be given a few. This is due either to the personal needs of the client or to the remedy as some of the remedies can keep working for up to 2 months.

Do I Have To Pay For The Remedies?

Usually no. However, if I am recommending a tincture for example – organ support – this will cost a few pounds. Also, any supplements I recommend you will have to pay for if you choose to use them.

How Do I Take The Remedy?

We prefer you to put it directly from the packet into your mouth without touching your hands. This is because we don’t want anything to interfere with the dynamic healing qualities of the remedy. If you have a bottle it is good to empty one pill into the lid, and straight from there into your mouth. With babies, crush the pill between 2 spoons. Put some of their saliva on your finger. Dab it into the crushed pill and place in their mouth. They usually love it.

Where Do I Store The Remedies?

It is best to keep them away from strong smells and personally I don’t like to keep them near mobile phones or computers as there is so much energy flying around from those.

Can I Drink Coffee Or Suck Mints?

This rule was introduced for the really sensitive people out there who manage to antidote their remedies with practically anything. I still think it is good idea to avoid mints, and maybe change to a fennel toothpaste. As for coffee, I have not really seen it in my experience, however, when improving your health, eliminating coffee, or at least cutting down is very high on the list.
